Dmitry Amunz chose the Danish company "Atlas Group" over UIC

As "RBK daily" was informed, Dmitry Amunz recently left the position of United Industrial Corporation (UIC) president, controlled by the family of senator Sergey Pugachev. At the moment Mr. Amunz is the head of the board of directors of the Danish company Atlas Group.

On the financial market of the country, rumor had it from the beginning of spring, on the possibility that Dmitry Amunz shall leave the UIC president position (see "RBK daily" dated 17.03.10). And now, as "RBK daily" was informed, Mr. Amunz left the corporation and started working in a Danish engineering company - Atlas Group: he is now the head of the board of directors. This was confiremed by a few top-managers connected to UIC. It must be noted that Mr. Amunz is listed as the head of the board of directors of Atlas Group among participants of the economical forum - 2010 in Saint Petersburg.
The press relations office of UIC confirmed that Mr. Amunz left the corporation starting from the 1st of June and up to the present moment it is not clear who shall take his place. Herewith, a source of "RBK daily" in UIC added that Dmitry Amunz' departure is possibly connected with his own business: «In parallel to working in UIC Mr. Amunz was engaged in own construction projects, so it is possible that a conflict of interests arose, since UIC has an own development company. It is possible that this was the reason behind his leaving the company».

The service record of Dmitry Amunz is quite impressive: at various times he worked as the vice president of an infamous company - «Mabetex»; deputy general manager of «Aeroflot»; head of the investment committee in the "Russian - Belorussian Union". Since 2004 supervised finances of the Ministry of Culture of the RF for about four years, deputy minister rank. In UIC Mr. Amunz started as the head of an affiliate - «UIC Development», and later on became the president of the whole corporation.
