Restoration

Restoration of buildings and constructions is one of the most difficult tasks in the field of designing and construction. Restoration works require great knowledge in the field of architecture, sculpture, painting and history. The purpose of such works is not only external reconstruction of the completely or partially lost historical appearance of the building and its interior details, but also to provide the following long-running operation of the architectural monument.

Restoration and reconstruction works include the following stages:

  • Research stage. At this stage all information about the project is gathered, architectural researches are conducted; photographs, video archives and drawings are being studied, choosing of construction materials for reconstruction is carried out. 
  • Engineering surveys stage. At this stage engineering-geological, geodetic, and hydraulic surveys are conducted; based on these, if required, solutions for building' reinforcement are developed. 
  • Designing. Architectural monument project documentation development requires taking into account the project type and its following assignation. 
  • Project realization. Human resources serve as the main warrantee of quality of realized works. In order to restore complex decorative façade and interior elements - restoration specialists, painters and sculptors are engaged.

It should be noted that restoration activities require special knowledge and skills in this field, that is why it can be carried out only under the license, foreseen by the Federal law «On objects of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the people of the Russian Federation».
